Looking at the details, it appears that people in industrialised nations
attended school four times more than those in developed nations
, with about 8 and 10 years compared to around 2 and 2.5 years in 1980 and 1990 respectively. In terms of the number of scientists and technicians, the results were the same, with 1% and 4% for developing countries and industrialised nations
respectively. This
was the same in 1990, with 15% and 65% respectively.
As for spending on research and development, industrialised nations
