Dear Mr. Peter,
I'm writing
this
to provide a suggestion on declining work
hours. You are asking that.
The proposed shift, 9 am to 5 pm, with a single Sunday holiday, would allow our employees to focus on their personal lives, leading to a healthier work
-life balance and increased productivity.
To my knowledge, the last
hour of work
is not that critical because our clients prefer to meet in the morning. Even all the essential project work
is completed before 5 pm. So, staff usually spend the last
60 minutes on personal chores such
as chatting, paying bills, etc.
Shifts should be 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday should be the only holiday. Saturday shifts of 9 to 3 would cover those compensatory hours. This
would allow workers to work
enthusiastically, eventually increasing the company's overall
productivity.
I hope you will consider this
proposal and look forward to discussing it further
.
Yours faithfully,
