It is often suggested that schoolchildren should learn how to grow vegetables and keep animals. What are the advantages and disadvantages? Do you think that advantage of this outweigh the disadvantage?

People have different views as to whether primary schools should teach
children
how to cultivate plants and raise animals.
While
there are legitimate concerns surrounding time constraints, I believe
this
approach would do more good than harm when viewed through the

of academic growth. Critics of integrating gardening and animal care into school curricula cite various reasons to support their stance. When
children
are required to take farming lessons in conjunction with standard subjects, they may find it difficult to balance multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. In a context where primary school students already grapple with high academic expectations and demanding workloads, adding farming classes could complicate their time management and compromise their academic performance. Despite these criticisms, in my view, the educational benefits of
this
practice carry greater weight. If
children
learn to grow food products and care for animals from an early age, they can gain invaluable insights into biology, ecology, and intricacies of food production through practical engagement.
This
experiential learning approach not only deepens their

of biodiversity and agriculture but

, they often develop a passion for conserving wildlife habitats and advocating for environmental sustainability. In conclusion, despite reasonable worries regarding the implementation of vegetable growing and animal care programs in primary schools
due to
time limitations, I contend that its academic benefits are more significant. Only through the inclusion of farming activities into the school curriculum can we enrich
children
's awareness of natural sciences and cultivate a culture of environmental stewardship.
