The graph below shows the number of overseas visitors to three different areas in a European country between 1987 and 2007. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The line chart illustrates the figure that people from abroad visited European countries in three different areas with five years with five-year intervals from 1987 to 2007.
It is clear that
all the number
from 1987 to 2007 shows an upward trend and only the short term of one area has a drop.
Obviously, the number
of lakes
was at its lowest point at 10000 in 1987, it grew steadily to 40000 in the following ten years and then
it surged to its peak at 75000 in 2002 and then
a sharp drop to 50000 in 2007. Additionally
, the number
of mountains was the second lowest, it climbed slowly and stable from 20000 to 35000 over the period. Besides
, the number
of the coast was the highest in the first year, it dropped to only 10000 from 1987 to 1992 and then
rose for the following fifteen years, reaching the same peak as the lakes
at 75000.
It is interesting to note that the number
of the coast and the lakes
started to resemble from 1992, converged in 2000 but before the second convergence the lakes
fell, we can conclude that some special activity on the coast attracts more people to lakes
