These days Internet-based courses have become a popular alternative to university-based courses. Some students prefer this type of learning because they do not need to attend lectures. Others argue that it is important to study at university. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Home-based learning’ has now been normalized ever since the pandemic, including Universities. More and more university
students
nowadays would prefer doing the home-based lecture as they do not need to go to the campus.
Although
there are some benefits to taking online courses, I would argue that universities should deliver the lesson in a traditional way
due to
the following reasons that are set out below. Attending lectures at home might seem more practical as
students
just need to open their computers.
Moreover
, it saves time and cost for travelling to the campus.
However
, I would argue that they will be engaged in less social activities.
For instance
, there will not be many social interactions between classmates as they would not meet face to face.
This
drawback is quite a vital case as
students
will have less experience in communicating their ideas to other people in a classroom setting and lack practical practice when they have study cases. Another point is that some people argue the fact that it would be more efficient for teachers. Tests and assignments are more convenient and faster to be checked online. But, as far as I am concerned,
students
are more tempted to do an undesirable act, especially in tests. There is no doubt that their notes can be wide open beside them when having exams at home.
Furthermore
, there is no guarantee that teachers can know when someone is cheating. Ultimately, whilst home-based university courses have few benefits, the disadvantages still outweigh the advantages because of lacking interaction between
students
and honesty in accomplishing the test.
