The given line graph illustrates the number of incidents in 3 categories of crime in New Port city centre between 2003 and 2012.
Overall
, trends for car theft and robbery are similar, they both fluctuated throughout the period.
However
, theft of cars happens more about 3 times.
In contrast
, burglary had experienced a significant decrease.
It is clear that
the figure for robbing a person in 2003 was just over 500, but car theft was three times as many as the former. Each of them stayed at the same level from the beginning of the period until 2005. Afterwards, they fluctuated during the next 7 years. Eventually, they both reached almost the same numbers as in the first year, respectively.
Furthermore
, burglary was the most popular type of crime and it hit a peak of just above 3500 until 2006 when it went down sharply.
This
was followed by small fluctuations until 2012, after which it levelled off at approximately 1400.
