The map above illustrates the evolution of the
museum
between 2010 and 2013. Over the three years, the surface area of the
museum
almost doubled with new sections were added.
While
the size of the Dinasour exhibition at the bottom left remained the same, the showroom above it was expanded in 2013. New themes were introduced into
this
showroom, replacing the "Mammals" with mainly the Ice Age contents,
as well as
the insect collections at the bottom right corner of the space. In 2010, there was a garden on the right-hand side, next to the
museum
building.
However
,
this
was demolished in 2013 and gave its way to the new expansion where the Mammal exhibitions were relocated from their original position in 2010 to the top part of
this
new section, and the Human origin displays were located just underneath and adjacent to the wall on the right-hand side. At the bottom of the new wing, a shop is opened on the left,
while
a cafe was set up on the right in 2013. At the heart of the
museum
, there were no changes involving the lobby and the entrance,
although
there was a slight reshaping of the ticket desk over the years. Above the lobby, an expansion was given to the Ocean Hall, enlarging its space with parts of the space at the exhibition hall left to it occupied.
