today, I’d like to speak about my cousin, who has chosen to pursue a career in medicine. She is my mother’s brother’s daughter, and she is four years younger than me. We shared many precious childhood memories together and often discuss our lives and careers now that we are adults. After high school, she decided to study medicine. She worked hard throughout her university years and continued with postgraduate studies. After seven years of rigorous education and training, she started her career as a doctor
last
month. Studying medicine in China wasn't easy. During her postgraduate stage, she had to attend classes during the day and work as an intern at the hospital in the evening, leaving her with very little time to sleep—sometimes less than six hours a night. When I asked her why she chose a career that sometimes makes her so exhausted, she told me she was motivated by her mother, who is an esteemed chief physician, and her maternal grandfather, who is a hospital director. She wants to make them proud. I am incredibly proud of her achievements. Her dedication and sense of responsibility are truly inspiring. I have no doubt that she will excel in her profession and make a significant contribution to the medical field.
