In 2000, Yemen’s population
was 0-14 years
old at 50%, followed by 15-59 years
old at 46.3%, and the minority was 60-plus years
old at only 3.6%. By the year 2050, the population
ratio will have a major increase in 15-59 years
, making it 57.3% compared to the 0-14 category which was at 37% of the population
. Despite the changes, the age
group
of 60 and above years
old is predicted not to have a change as it only increases 2.1% in 50 years

On the other hand
, Italy's population
were dominated by the age
group
of productive people with 61.6% of the population
being 15-59 years
old in 2000. The elderly, who are 60 years
old and above, occupied 24.1% of the population
