This process diagram shows how glass containers are made. The steps of the process are numbered 1 to 9.
The given diagram illustrates the process of making
glass
containers
. Overall
, there are nine steps, starting from heating glass
particles at high temperatures and ending with the production of glass
containers
, as well as
sorting out defective products.
In the first step, glass
particles are heated in a furnace at 1050°C until they melt and become malleable. The molten glass
is then
placed into the first mould, where it is pressed to form a basic shape. After
this
, the glass
is transferred to a second mould to shape it into a container. In the next step, air is blown into the mould to ensure the container has the correct shape.
Once the container is formed, it is heated again in a kiln at 482°C to strengthen the glass
. After
this
heating process, the containers
are cooled for 60 minutes at 25°C to harden them.
The finished containers
are then
inspected by workers. Any containers
that pass quality checks are packaged for distribution, while
those that do not meet standards are discarded as waste.Submitted by ru.kabiru.biru on
