These days, food days, food travels long distances before reaching consumers, and it is therefore believed that consuming locally grown food would bring about a number of economic and environmental benefits. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages?

Nowadays, it is true that packed foods travel long distances before being consumed by consumers. There are more advantages if the
food
can be grown locally
instead
of imported from outside the
country
which leads to a variety of beneficial traits
such
as economic and environmental benefits. I strongly believe that growing
food
locally would bring more opportunities to the local market and nature. On the one hand, locally grown
food
uses quite a few pesticides to recover the plants from various diseases spread across the
country
. These diseases are more diverse and affect to entire plant, they are only resolved by using chemical substances spraying around the plant.
However
, the federal government regularly maintains standard procedures to evaluate the pesticides that are not harmful to the soil and air.
For instance
, the government of Sri Lanka maintain agricultural research and development centres distributed around the
country
. Meantime,
this
department constantly validates and ensures plant quality and reduces the amount of insect killer usage during the entire life span of the
food
.
Furthermore
, the trade-in of foods and vegetables has been affected by a significant reduction in the
country
's fund perspective, which leads to economic challenges and impact
due to
the reservation of dollar funds and will cause other essentials to be neglected.
On the other hand
, there are controversial about growing plants that could not suit the appropriate climate in the
country
. In
this
scenario, more and more observations are performed to grow them in a greenhouse environment, and it is beneficial to mitigate different kinds of bacterial infections
as well as
diseases, where spread in a variety of circumstances in natural nature.
Nonetheless
, it could transform the
country
with rare
food
available without spending a hefty amount of dollars to bring it into the
country
. In conclusion, locally grown
food
will be ideal for emerging countries where fewer resources in nature and a financial decline in strength of funds rather than importing from other destinations.
This
could result dramatically in the economy as far as lowering the other important factors that are required to build the
country
's economy.
