not emerged as the primary international language, scientific and technological advancements might have been considerably hindered. Unquestionably, the absence of a common means of communication at seminars and conferences degrades the dissemination of knowledge, making it challenging for individuals to stay well-informed and competitive.

, it would be short-sighted to gloss over the fact that the dominance of

threatens local
languages
, many of which are vulnerable or on the brink of extinction.

, throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, as the influence of

grew overwhelmingly strong, the
