Economic inequality has surged to levels not seen since the Gilded Age, as globalization and automation concentrate wealth in fewer hands. Billions still lack access to quality education, perpetuating cycles of poverty. Discrimination and human rights abuses remain endemic. In the century ahead, our imperative is to channel humanity's immense scientific and technological capabilities toward urgent challenges like environmental preservation, access to opportunity, social equity and inclusion.
