Overall
, the figure describes a construction consisting of two tanks, one containing a stratum and the other empty, both connected by a hose. In the first step, the impure liquid is poured into the main tank which contains different layers that filter the dirt.
This
filtering system is composed of three levels made from sand, charcoal and gravel, respectively.
Consequently
, all the impurities are attached to the different sizes of the surfaces, going from a smaller to a bigger one. On the second step, once the fluid has been through the natural filters is reconducted by a pipe to the drinking water storage tank, where it is stored and ready to use.
Lastly
, there is a tap that opens and closes the
last
tank. To summarize, the cleaning system is essentially formed by two vessels,
while
the first has inside natural layers, the second is empty.
