The line graph illustrates the amount of store closures and openings between 2011 and 2018 in a country. A glance at the figure clearly shows that in 2011, the peak of new shops appeared being 8500 buildings;
however
, in 2013, 7000 of them were out. It is appreciated that closures fluctuated a lot through the years, starting in 2011 with 6500 stores,
then
falling and climbing again until reaching the maximum to gradually decrease for the following year; whilst it plummeted to 500 and increased again until levelled at around 5000.
On the other hand
, 8500 new shops were opened in 2011 and that great quantity was never again achieved in the next years, as the market slowly dropped until opening nearly a third of the number of the start.
Nevertheless
, in 2014 more than 6000 were created, almost the same that disappeared. To summarize, the factory market now is not as great as before
due to
malls now having more empty places because more stores are closed than open.
