Nowadays it is possible to use computers and mobile phones for automatic language translation, and there is no need for human translators and interpreters. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
There is no denying the fact that
language
acts sometimes as a barrier in several circumstances. While
it is commonly held belief that it is feasible to use computers and mobile phones for translation
without the necessity for human interventions, there is an argument opposes
it. In my opinion, I believe that these technological advancements are helpful in specific situations, currently they are not able to replace the primary method.

To begin
with, recent developments in technology have brought multiple benefits, especially in terms of language
translation
and learning. In other words
, people with different languages can communicate and interact with one another. However
, these applications are not yet fully developed and often fail to convey the main idea accurately. In some cases, they may even misrepresent the context or dialogue, leading to misunderstandings.
Another point to consider is, that second language
acquisition remains valuable and irreplaceable. It is also
possible to say that certain in situations, proficient and accurate translation
is essential and cannot be substituted by machines. For instance
, in political agreements and meetings, representatives need to communicate precisely and subtly. Moreover
, replacing human translation
carries a risk of losing jobs, and certain groups within the community generate income through translation
and interpretation. If we abandon the workers, the results will be catastrophic.
In conclusion, despite having differing opinions, I firmly believe that computers and mobile phones are limited in their ability to provide accurate language
translation
. For the time being, we still need a realistic method to ensure full comprehension, as these new methods are vulnerable to causing misunderstandings and errors.Submitted by dr.mda15 on
