Some people say that it is possible for a county to be both economically successful and have a clean environment. Others disagree. Discuss both view and give your opinion.

There is no denying the fact that the main impact of economic success on the planet is arguable.
While
Linking Words
it is a commonly held belief that economic success is harming our Earth, there is
also
Linking Words
an argument that opposes it. In my opinion, I consider that a country can succeed economically and keep the Earth clean. On one hand, there are several factors of achieving economic development
while
Linking Words
conserving the environment.
To begin
Linking Words
with, many countries have begun applying sustainable development
while

building their industries and planning for their waste disposal.
For example
Linking Words
, some states in the US have started reducing carbon emissions by recycling them as a power source.
As a result

, these states developed their economy
while

keeping the environment clean.
On the other hand
Linking Words
, developing the economy of a country may harm the planet , as it does not take sustainable measures into consideration.
In other words
Linking Words
, not using renewable energy sources
such

as sunlight to supply its companies and factories with power can deplete its fossil fuel reserves.
For instance
Linking Words
, Saudi Arabia has many factories and companies which are built to increase its profits.
However
Linking Words
,
this

country uses too many fossil fuels to supply its factories with power, and
hence
Linking Words
this

has a negative impact on the planet as it could lead to depleting the resources, and it increases global warming because of the emissions resulting from processing these fuels. In conclusion, despite people having different views, I believe that a nation can flourish economically
while

keeping the environment clean.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
