The map above shows the comparison between the existing Islip town centre map and the newly planned development. The common elements of the two maps are shops, a park, several housing units, and a school.
Some of the changes that will be made are the new housing places, the pedestrian-only road, the bus station, and the car park. Two of the new housing places will be constructed inside the town centre,

the other housing will be built on the other side of the dual carriageway road. The most significant change that will be constructed is the dual carriageway that goes around the town centre.
