In many countries, weddings are expensive compared to the past. What is the cause? Is it a positive development or negative development?

A wedding
is an important part in the lives of many people and everyone tries to celebrate it in the best way possible. In the past, most of the marriages were simple and cheap, but nowadays in many countries, they are expensive than before. I consider it as a positive development because there is a significant impact on the people that associated with these events.
Wedding industry
The wedding industry
is one of the biggest industries in many countries and it provides employment to the thousands of people directly and indirectly. Especially in the developed countries or in the countries with rich cultural heritage, marriage events are considered to be expensive.
For example
, in the countries like India, most people consider it as an important event in the life and they spend their life savings on these events. There is a name given to these types of events,
that is
“big fat Indian wedding”.
As a result
, a huge industry has been created surrounding it. A typical wedding in India lasts up to 3 days. Since the middle-class population is growing all over the world, I believe, there is no going back, weddings are going to get expensive.
, there is a downside to
trend. Some people owing to the culture and the pressure of responsibilities, they tend to spend huge amounts of money on the marriage beyond their capability and suffers the financial consequences. To conclude, if people
the finances well without drowning
in to
the debt, weddings will give the positive experiences in the lives of many people.
