Nowadays the way people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

In the contemporary society,
technology
has transformed the people’s affairs, especially in the field of
communication
. The above mentioned change has both merits and demerits that would be
analyzed
examined carefully and methodically; broken down for consideration of constituent parts
analysed
in
this
essay. Advancement in the field of science and
technology
has influenced people’s
behavior
manner of acting or controlling yourself
behaviour
in the different facets of life
such
as education, business and
communication
.
Firstly
, people are getting educated online with the latest advancements.
For instance
, most prestigious Universities,
such
as Harvard and MIT, are offering online courses for distance-learning students around the world.
Secondly
, businesses have greatly benefited, because of the online applications,
such
as ZOOM. These apps enable businessmen to call out meetings online, cutting significant cost of travel and saving precious time.

, and distance barriers are removed.
For example
, Facebook, Twitter and Skype are continuously supporting users to get in touch with their family and friends at the click of the button, no matter where they live.
However
, advancement in
technology
has dark sides too, which need to be taken into account. New
technology
has deteriorated people soft skills. An increasing number of people are being involved in online
communication
with virtual friends, and ignoring colleagues and
neighbors
a person who lives (or is located) near another
neighbours
around them. Lack of face to face
communication
is damaging public social skills,
such
as negotiation and empathy. What is more, the family bond is weakening, because of the over use of
this
new
technology
.
For example
, TIMES reported that in 2018, an average child in
U

.K has spent around six to eight hours on screen, which depleted quality time with family,
consequently
he received less parental care and affection. To sum up,
although
new
technology
has some demerits, if it is used in a responsible manner, people would be able to reap its benefits in multiple fields of life,
such
as studies, e-commerce and virtual
communication

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
