Do children behave better when they are physically punished or rewarded?

It is often argued that youngsters should be punished, when they misbehave or do mischief things. I am totally against punishing young people. I would like to elaborate more going

with, Young people with their growing minds were like mirrors. They reflect our own images upon them. They learn things and actions from their parents, near and dear and from their surroundings too. Of course, they grab good things along with

, when a child gets an award for their excellence in Academics or for doing good in Sports. They feel it as proud moment and continue to strive hard to reach that position and moment every time, and
