Today, the quality of life in large cities is decreasing. Discuss the cause and solutions.

In recent times, citizens in major cities face a lower in their
quality
of
life
. The main
reason
for
this
is that
air
pollution
has dramatically increased.
To begin
with,
quality
of
life
drops as
air
pollution
rises. A strong
reason
for
this
is that there are lots of people staying in those towns and they use their own
car
. As a consequence, those vehicles are powered by fuel which is burnt and creates
air
pollution
.
For example
, a
latest
Suggestion
later
study found that, in Bangkok
this
year, there are 50% more PM2.5 than in the previous year and the main cause of PM2.5 is combustion of cars and traffic.
Therefore
, it is undeniable that
air
pollution
from vehicles is the major
reason
why

the quality
of people’s
life
in huge cities has plummeted. As far as I am concerned, there is an efficient way that we can solve
this
issue. We can abate
air
pollution
by encouraging the

use
of public transportation and electric vehicle
instead
of traditional personal
car
.
This
is because those transportations mainly employ electrical energy without fuel needed;
thus
, they do not produce
air
pollution
.
For instance
, a recent research concluded that a Tesla’s electric
car
produces
air
pollution
100 times less than a vehicle commonly drove today.
Hence
, I do believe that using public transportation or electric
car
could abate
air
pollution
and could improve people’s health and happiness in large cities. In conclusion, since the major
reason
for a decrease in
quality
of
life
is
air
pollution
from personal cars if we successfully encourage people to use public transport and

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
