In some countries, university students live at home with their families while they study in the same city, whereas, in other countries they live away from home while they study in another city. Do the benefits of living away from home outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, in certain countries, tertiary students live with family and
study
in the same
city
.
However
, in some other nations, students go away from
home
to another
city
to
study
. While living away from one's
home
has merits and some downsides, I believe the benefits transcend the drawbacks.
To begin
with, there are several positive sides of studying in away
city
.
Firstly
, it helps the students learn

and language of other people. For one thing, when university students take the stride to move to cities other than theirs, to
study
, they mingle with other students with different ways of living and speaking, thereby, learning from them.
Secondly
, students
also
make friends with people from other places other than their own. It is often said, your
net-work
an interconnected system of things or people
network
is your net-worth.
This
means that, the more you make friends with people, especially those from different places, the better your chances of excelling in life.
For instance
, I once had a friend who

traveled over or through; sometimes used as a combining term
travelled
to a far away town to
study
, while staying there, he made several friends who later teamed up with him to start a business, and today they are all wealthy. So, learning of

of life and language, and making new friends are great benefits of going away to

city
. Admittedly, there are few downsides to
this
method of studying. The most of it is difficulty in adapting to a new environment. Students from different cities often find it difficult to thrive in a new place.
For instance
, a survey carried out in a college of medicine on how students were faring, despite the positive results that were reported from many students, it was discovered that the foreign students were not getting along well with the environment.
Therefore
, opting for a place of
study
other than one's
home
can be challenging. In conclusion, while the benefits of going away from
home
to
study
surpass the drawbacks, it can
also
be a gruesome experience.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
