All cars that burn fossil fuels should be banned and electric cars should replace them. Do you agree or disagree?

All vehicles that require
petrol
should be prohibited and electric cars should be used
instead
. I agree with the previous statement as it exponentially decreases the air pollution and it is more economical than cars that use combustion engines.
Firstly
, the advancements in technology has provided us with
electricity
to be used as an alternative to fossil
fuel which
Accept comma addition
fuel, which
prevents many health issues caused by the by-products of
petrol
which is indicated by a rise in respiratory illnesses. Carbon monoxide emitted
as a result
of combustion when inhaled creates harmful radicals in the body which are detrimental to the human body.
For example
a study conducted in 2018 in a hospital in China showed that the number of people presented with a respiratory
diseases
Suggestion
disease
was tripled than a decade ago.
Secondly
, Using Solar
energy
to produce
electricity
is cheaper in the long run.
Solar panels
Suggestion
The solar panels
used in cars absorb the
energy
from the
sun which
Accept comma addition
sun, which
is
then
converted to
electricity
as opposed to the combustion engine that produces mechanical
energy
from chemical
energy
and average cost of
electricity
is much less than
petrol
hence
the electric cars being a cheap alternative.
For example
, a journal published by
University
Suggestion
the University
of Michigan’s Transportation Research Institute showed that the average cost of
electricity
per mile is $0.04 while the average cost of
petrol
per mile is 0.6$ In conclusion the
electricity
derived cars are a healthier option and they are much more economical than gas-powered cars.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
