Q People now have the freedom to work and live anywhere in the world due to the development of communication technology and transportation. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

In
this
modern era, advancement in the field of communication and travelling has given people the free will to settle in any part of the world. In my opinion,
this
development has more benefits than any minor disadvantages.
To begin
with the positives, talented people can now explore new opportunities in different countries without any fear of disconnection with their family and friends.
This
is because of the technological advancement like Skype and Facetime, where people can video call and see each other through miles away.
In addition
, these people gain experience working with people from different cultures and societies, which in return enhance their personality.
This
happens due to the easement of air travel which has shortened the borders between countries.
For instance
, people can now travel from England to Australia in less than a day

the new environment. People coming from tropical countries like Brazil and South Africa have sometimes difficulty in adjusting to the colder climate of the countries like Canada and United States. Another disadvantage people face when they move to the new place is the scarcity of their regional food.
For instance
, most people from India are vegetarian and struggle to accustom in meat-loving places like the Middle East and Europe. In conclusion, the learning and maturity people will gain from testing their skills in different regions of the world will outweigh any negatives associated with migration.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
