Firstly, the surge in private car usage exacerbates gridlock, particularly in urban settings, resulting in delays, frustration, and squandered time for commuters. Additionally, the emission of pollutants such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter from private vehicles significantly deteriorates air quality, leading to adverse health effects.
