Artificial intelligence will soon replace teachers in the classroom. Do you agree with this statement? What is an alternative to traditional face-to-face teaching?

It is argued that humans will be replaced by artificial intelligence in the field of teaching.
This
essay disagrees with that statement because computers cannot provide feedback to students. Online classes led by teachers can be a possible alternative to traditional classroom learning.
Although
technology has advanced greatly, it still hasn't equipped computers with the ability to talk to students and give them feedback. Each student has a different level of thinking and understanding and
hence
, they must receive proper feedback to improve themselves. Artificial intelligence cannot be used to perform
this
task because it can only give generalized corrections of errors but cannot tell a student how they can do better.
For example
, Writing9 is an online writing tool that can check and correct spelling and grammatical mistakes, but it cannot help students improve their writing. Alternatively, classroom teaching can be substituted with online courses. Online learning has a greater reach and is available to thousands of students all over the world.
This
gives students the opportunity to access some of the best teachers that are available and even receive corrections on their mistakes.
For instance
, some of the best colleges, like Harvard, have introduced free online courses on their official website that can be attended by anyone and any doubts that they might have can be clarified by certified educators over web chat. In conclusion, technology hasn't reached a stage where humans can be replaced by artificial intelligence in schools because it cannot give students the customized corrections that they need to improve, and online courses are a possible solution to traditional classroom learning.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
