Today, the quality of life in large cities is decreasing. Discuss the causes and solutions

Metropolitan cities have advanced facilities as compared to the smaller, that’s why the people are trying to move there to avail better facilities. Different people are aiming to settle in large cities due to different needs and wants, which may be education, better opportunities or luxuries, due to which the population in big cities is increasing day by day. The increasing population is putting an additional burden in each sector which includes but not limited to academic institutes, hospitals, roads and municipality, accommodation and other services. The additional load on the same facilities are definitely affecting the

of life negatively. The huge gap in demand and supply of resources

I would like to quote here the example of Qatar; since the developmental projects have been launched in Qatar and the immigrants started coming in to Qatar, the developers have started to build small apartments compared to the old one and have increased the rents, which is a clear decrease in the

of facilities and opportunities in the small cities. The governments can take different steps to reduce the population in the major cities which includes but not limited to birth control campaigns, providing the similar facilities in small cities and townships, encouraging people to live in the small cities by providing them tax relief and some free facilities like community clubs, and should invest in small cities and townships to create
such
opportunities which not only retain the local residents but
also
attract the public from the major cities, to reduce the burden on the large cities. The government should
also
develop new cities to facilitate the citizens.
