Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

There are various ways in which technology has played a significant role in people’s relationships.
Firstly
, it allows people to communicate and keep in touch much easier, especially those who are isolated from their families or partners.
For example
, many children who study abroad will not suffer from homesickness because of the long distance between their parents and them.
Secondly
, with technological advancements, freelancers can collaborate with people who want to hire them through project management platforms, without any one-on-one interaction.
Finally
, online courses offer new opportunities for students in countries all over the world to interact with professors from top universities at the comfort of their home.
Furthermore
, I believe that technology has made the relationships between people a positive development. The biggest reason is that technology helps relationships
last
over time and distance. In the pre-digital days, if people moved out of town for a new job or switched schools, it was a real challenge to stay in touch with their friends, no matter how close they were.
However
, modern technologies
also
limit the amount of separation between work and home. With the advent of computers, the Internet and cell phones, people are often expected to address work issues from home.
This
can limit family interactions and cause conflict between family members. The use of
Internet
Suggestion
the Internet
and television by children and teenagers
also
decreases the amount of time they spend with family and can increase misunderstanding between children and their parents.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
