1) Advertisements are becoming more and more common in everyday life. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In today’s material world, people are inundated with various types of advertising. There is a point of view which encourages advertisements.
However
, another one opposes
this
notion and believes that it has more flaws. I am a staunch believer that
this
development has a myriad of benefits for local communities. Advertising is a creative
industry which

needs a plethora of employees.
In other words
, it creates a lot of opportunities for nationals who were unemployed and
this
can improve and enhance the local economy.
Moreover
, it will attract entrepreneurs and businessmen to commence their projects in
this
country.
This
exemplified by the USA where commercials provide more than 18 million jobs. If adverts were not available, many workers would not find a decent job. Commercials are a necessity in societies. They

could help prevent the incidence of cancer. In spite of the importance of
this
information, the National Cancer Institute did not have the resources to get the word out to citizens.
Hence
, the Kellogs All-bran campaign quickly saw the chance in the situation, because its cereal contains

. To conclude, advertising has a benevolent effect on developing countries. I am of the belief that its advantages surpass the demerits.
Thus

In addition

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
