Popular events like the football World Cup and other international sporting occasions are essential in easing international tensions and releasing patriotic emotions in a safe way. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

These days, some sport events as football's cups have become more frequent and deeply followed and broadcasted on TV. One of the main reasons for
this
increasing attitude seems to be aimed for easing international tensions, promoting
such
a patriotic vein in citizens. I partially disagree
this
point of view and in
this
essay I will support my idea and suggest some food for thoughts. There are several drawbacks in using sports to pull up the plug from social issues.
Firstly
, many political problems
are simply racking
Suggestion
is simply racking
for far away from the citizens' focus and sometimes
also
newspapers avoid dealing with specific affairs, that can be felt as "
unconfortable
conducive to or feeling mental discomfort
uncomfortable
" for common people. What I mean is that, in many cases, some tragedies are almost quickly skipped during TV news or in journals, in order to avoid some tensions, even if it is an unfair approach.
Moreover
, sports matches are still competitions between countries and in fact the patriotic feeling

in
this
way still crushes the idea that we all are people, but forces us within a label with our nationality's name.
For instance
, matches cannot be interpreted as a way to fix international tensions, but simply as an instrument to empower patriotism for our own nation.
On the other hand
, the World Cup is,
however
, a moment for improving socialization and sympathizing with other nationalities, mainly if they aren't required to challenge one another.
As a result
, it can be viewed partly as a way to distract from social issues and get rid of tensions. To sum up,
although
it is partially true, I believe that we should better learn how to move on cleverly from social issue. I disagree with the idea that sport competitions can solve some tension, and I personally believe that we should find new mechanisms to limit them.
