Task 2: Scientific research should be carried out and controlled by the governments rather than private companies. Do you agree or disagree?

Scientific
research
has been a growing concern in the past few years. While some people argue that they should be conducted by the authorities than private companies. I personally believe that private sector should share the responsibility to carry out these activities.
To begin
with, there are three main reasons why the governments should have the right to monitor scientific studies.
Firstly
, nowadays, some illegal people tend to produce poor quality goods. What is more, someone
also
brings out nuclear weapons or unethical human experimentation, posing a serious threat to society. With the control of the governments, the new products can be checked and reviewed carefully before publishing.
Secondly
, the authorities of different countries can co-operate with each other.
As a result

this
collaboration, scientific
research

impact on society.
Last
but not least, many people don’t trust these activities when private sources are involved. Whether or not you have talent, people don’t easily give
creditability
the quality of being believable or trustworthy
credibility
if you work in a small company.
On the contrary
, private companies should be given their own freedom in doing
research
. The main reason is that every field has its expert, the authorities can’t do
everthing
all things
everything
on their own, definitely.
Therefore
, private companies can do some studies, which can’t be done by the governments. Another reason related to
this
is that when it comes to the budget, too much money

will affect the society. Government funding should be allocated equally to every field
such
as health or education, not only focusing on these

any specific behavior
activities
. In conclusion, both authorities and private sector should have their own responsibility for doing and monitoring the scientific
research

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
