People today generally have better lives than people in the past did. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

This
claim could be argued because there are so many advancements developed today that have made
life
more comfortable than the past. Undoubtedly,
life
in the past had

For instance
, Facebook and other social media sites were non-existent and people make friends with people in their locality.
Second
thing, in the past, there were less traffic, overpopulated cities, and less pollution. The cities were not congested because there were fewer number of people and urbanization was not yet popular. According to articles about

life
is more enjoyable to live than the past. The development of technology raised the living conditions by making it easier and faster. There are many equipment invented in order for people to have

to do activities they enjoy or develop other useful skills. One example is the use of electrical home appliances, these items consumes less

such
as vacuum and washing machines.
Subsequently
, with less

to bond and children can have more parental attention. Another advantage of living in the present is the increased availability of information and fast communication. These advancements had changed the shape of different lives of people into better ones. Many people have lifted themselves out of poverty, and others have found more positive sense in their well-being. Overall, it cannot be denied that there would always be people who would prefer to live
life
like in the past than in the present.
However
, it cannot be denied that the tremendous positive shift of living conditions makes the present more enjoyable to live

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
