You have just read an article in an international travel magazine which contained some information about your town that is incorrect. • Correct the information in the article • Write a letter to the editor of the magazine to give correct information • Suggest what the magazine should do about this situation?
Dear sir or madam,
I am a regular reader of your magazine and I have always liked the articles published by you.
However
, one article
which I read today has incorrect information
about my city.
The original name of my city is Pratishtana pur from which the current name ‘Phaltan’ was derived in the year 1948, but the article
mentions the wrong year which is 1970.
I am very proud of our historical place and people have the right to know the correct information
about our ancient town. I was quite surprised to read wrong
details and stunned Correct article usage
the wrong
with
the fact that the Change preposition
by
article
was published without any research or fact checking
.
I would like to make a humble request to correct the Add a hyphen
fact-checking
information
in the next
article
with an apology to people whose feelings were hurt by wrong information
. I would also
like to urge you to check the facts before publication.
I am looking forward to seeing the corrected article
in the near future.
Yours faithfully,
Meenu
