More and more business meetings and business training have taken place on the internet. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

It is true that the internet has become a popular method for business meetings and training programs. As for me,
this
saves
time
and reduces operational costs, but the level of intimacy will go down and there will be more communication problems. As for the advantages, primarily, it takes little
time
to meet online. To demonstrate, global corporations have branches across the world and they can set up a meeting with representatives from any country within minutes.
Otherwise
, they would have to waste a lot of
time
to meet in a real setting. Thanks to online gatherings, they would even meet multiple times a day without any restrictions.
For example
, thanks to software
such
as Microsoft Teams, one can broadcast to thousands of users without any difficulty.
In addition
to
this
, unlike real life meetings and training programs, the cost to use the internet for the same purposes remains much lower. A professional can educate virtually limitless users via online meetings. Nobody would have to spend extra money for the meeting hall or the transport. All they need to spend is the salary of the trainer as well as the connection fee. Fortunately, they would not cost more than a few plane tickets. When it comes to the disadvantages, above all, there is always a barrier between online meeting members. We need to rely on all our senses to develop a healthy relationship with others. But, when online, we are restricted with a blurry video as well as an unnatural sound quality. We have almost no chance to sense the feelings of others,
thus
we may not develop

with others. In the long run,
this
will impact the business because

Besides
this
, in online meetings we have trouble
analyzing
consider in detail and subject to an analysis in order to discover essential features or meaning
analysing
the
body
language of others. We usually can focus only on the face of the presenter. But, we need more than faces to understand the things on the mind of the speaker. On top of
this
, especially in interactive meetings, more than one speaker is active, but it is too hard to observe the
body
language of all at the same
time
when online. These factors will eventually result in misunderstandings, because communication is more about the intention of speakers, not their faces or voices only. In my opinion, flexibility is the most important factor in business meetings. When there are important issues to debate on, we should not waste even a moment. That’s why, the speed and flexibility offered by the internet cannot be matched by real life meetings. Of course, we may have trouble understanding each other’s

online meetings, but with high quality cameras
this
issue can be solved. Latest generation cameras have a wide lens and tracks the
body
of the speaker with ease. The video of each participant can be shown on the screen and
this
solves the challenge of communication problems.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
