Some people think that it is necessary to travel to other places to learn about cultures . Other say that books , films and the internet can be used as a source of information about different cultures. Do you agree or disagree ?

It is often said that learning different cultures can be potentially done by travelling to these places. Few people
also
argue that the same can be experienced by reading
book
Suggestion
books
or watching films or through internet. In my opinion, there is a huge difference in experiencing something physically and feeling something virtually through books and other sources. You do get the necessary information to know the origin and characteristics of the
culture
,
however
personally meeting people and enjoying the place and getting exposed to their
culture
is a phenomenal experience.
For Instance
, we all know that India is a diverse country with a variety of cultures and traditions.
However
, each state in India has a different
culture
, people speak a whole new language, experiencing food and getting dressed in their local style
,
Accept space
,
travelling in their way with the locals makes your soul lively. I can say
this
out of my own personal experience when I travelled myself. I know that the temples in India are known for their architecture and giant scale and proportion
.
Accept space
.
When I actually stood inside one of those temples looking at those beautiful carvings touching with my own hands gave me more pleasure. Touch, taste, feel and other senses helped me gain an in depth understanding which is beyond the origin and history I studied in books and something totally different from What I imagined from watching the documentaries. Reading a recipe can never give the pleasure of tasting.
Similarly
, the internet can never replace a memory to enjoy and capture with your heart. There are places which are documented beautifully, but looked hideous in real where as something which is not so highlighted in the books and online can attract you in a very pleasing manner. Individuals perspective has a major role to play in understand and learning cultures. When you read or when you watch something, you subconsciously tend to look through their eyes. When you travel, you get to notice things that no one had ever noticed before, which brings out the individual's perspective and interest. So I totally agree that it is essential to travel for better understanding of the
culture
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
