In some countries, some criminal trials in the court are shown on the TV and the general public can watch them. Do you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

There is a policy in some parts of world that criminal trials are broadcasted on television, which exposes citizens to the process of criminal trials. For my perspectives, the advantages are more than the disadvantages. Admittedly, those exposed trials can end in a disadvantage related to privacy. Taking the offenders as an example, when their offence is reported, the angry audience may search the

background and family information. The more serious case is that the public may expose the criminals’ personal information online and criticize their parents.
As a result
, some innocent parents may suffer some mental problems. Meanwhile,
TV
broadcast may lead to the invasion of the privacy of victims as well as the witnesses. The expose of victims’ privacy may
also
do damage to their mental health.
For example
, victims who suffer sexual assaults may lose confidence when facing other people, if the details of the crime trial are shown to the public.
However
, trials on those offenders being publicized have more advantages.
Firstly
,
this
will give a deterrent to the potential criminals. To be specific, when people who intend to commit a murder watch the trial on a murderer on
TV
, they abandon the offence or become law-abiding citizens at least in a short period due to the harsh sentence in the case.
Secondly
,
TV
broadcast of the trial can strengthen the people’s trust in justice and raise their awareness of self-protection. That the criminal trials are shown on
