The line graph gives the data about the three different consumptions of spreads namely margarine, low fat & reduced spreads and butter between 1981 and 2007. Measurements of spread are given in grams. Overall, the trend to the margarine and butter went downwards

The consumption of butter increased slowly at the beginning and hit a peak in 1986 at 160 grams before the rapid decrease which happened till to 2007 at approximately 50 grams. Low & reduced spreads started to be popular in 1996 with the rate of near 10 grams and reached a peak at about 85 grams in 2001 before a small drop in 2007 while margarine fluctuated from 1981 to 2001 at the same rate and in 2007 experienced decrease. To conclude, all the three spreads experienced up and down in the given period.
