During my study, I was voluntarily working in a kids-take-caring centre for about three years, and I can provide a reference for them if you request.

kids and what their preferences are.
Moreover
, I intend to pursue my education in the mentioned field. So, in case of acceptance, I have planned to study English while I am there. In

way, I would be able to acquire the minimum requirements of graduate programs in an Australian university to apply for one of them. I hope I would be able to have the opportunity to live with your family. Thanks in advance for your kind consideration. I am looking forward to hearing from you. Sincerely yours, Farhad Shabani

The Greeting

Depending on the style and aim of the letter, you will need to adapt your greeting.

Always start an informal letter in the ways:

  • Dear + name
  • Hi / Hello + name

‘Dear...’ is more appropriate, so stick with this.

For a formal letter there are two options for the greeting:

  • Use Dear Sir or Madam if you don’t know the name of the person you are writing to.
  • Use Dear + surname if you do know their name, e.g. Dear Mr Smith or Dear Mrs Jones.
