Many major cities are facing a housing crisis as they cannot provide enough land for new buildings. Some local governments believe the problem could be solved by reassigning park land for residential development, because this land would be better used for housing.

These days, it is true that more and more large cities are facing

of accommodation because their current land bank is not enough to meet the housing demand. To deal with the problem, the solution provided by local governments is to replace park areas with new buildings. Personally, I completely disagree with the idea. There are many reasons why I strongly believe that park land should be preserved as long as possible.
Firstly
, local governments should take environmental benefits into consideration before deciding to reassign parks for residential development.
In particular
, green areas play an important role

big cities.
Therefore
, if governments decide to cut down trees,
this
would lead to an increase in carbon footprint.
Besides
that, local parks
also
provide leisure activities for residents.
For example
, people could have a picnic in the areas where parents could play with their children to create

Moreover
, young people might organize outdoor games to play with friends. In terms of health positives, according to current researches, engaging with nature could help people enhance mental well-being.
Furthermore
, the number of people with obesity is rising more and more.
Thus
, it is important to make space for physical exercise. In fact, bonuses of exercising in a natural setting are better than going to

also

Besides
, event organizers are likely to hire park land for holding fairs. The money that local governments receive through renting out would contribute considerably

although
I acknowledge lack of accommodation, I completely disagree with the idea that parks should be reassigned for housing in major cities because green areas have positive impacts on people’s life significantly.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
