Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

. In my opinion, legal enforcement should not be the only method to employ; there are other measures that the government should take into consideration. From my perspective, most people do not take recycling seriously since they think it is not their responsibility.
Therefore

, for the consequences of not adhering to the law could be unpleasant.
For example

, homeowners who fail to obey the law might receive punishments, ranging from non-custodial sentences

Nevertheless

, a legal obligation is not the only measure to encourage people to recycle more. The crux of the low recycling

is that people are not aware of how important recycling is.
Hence

, governments should invest in programs or campaigns that raise people’s awareness of the detrimental effects caused by household

In addition

, recycling facilities should be easy to use and within an easy reach for householders. Another tactic that governments should adopt is making recycling a part of school education.
For example

, when students learn how to recycle at school, they are likely to recycle at home as well. More importantly, recycling would become a natural thing for them to do, not just an obligation. In conclusion,

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
