Some people think parents should supervise their children's activities closely, while others believe children should have more freedom. Discuss both views and give your opinion

Parenting style is one of the most hotly debated topics between adults with children. On one hand is the school of thought that believes parents should closely monitor their children’s daily activity, whereas
on the other hand
is a liberal thought process which thinks that children should be provided with enough freedom to make their own decisions in life. In
this
essay, I will explain my support for the latter view with examples. Those who believe in the constant supervision parenting says that it provides an academic edge to the children.
This
is because parents closely monitor the academic progress of their children throughout their life.
For Instance
, Helicopter parents are known to enforce the strict academic schedule on their wards which goes beyond the requirement of

scope prospects since they focus more on the academic success of their children. It is my opinion that children who grow up with significant freedom become more successful members of society. Freedom allows children to discover their passion and make choices for their

career plans.
For example
, there are many children who are not academically inclined but may be interested in other fields like arts or sports. The over indulging parents may force their kids to focus more on academics, whereas the parents that provide sufficient independence to their children are more likely to allow their wards to pursue their dreams. It is a well known fact that passion is the basic ingredient of success in any profession.
Therefore

much more important than a child’s high school grades.
