Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is true that our society has undergone a lot of transformations in many sectors, which may lead to too many options. I strongly agree with
this
statement since this
consequence causes hesitation when people want to make a decision
and prevents them from highly focusing on only one
goal.
To begin
with, a plethora of choices can make people hesitate to give a final decision
. In that past, people have fewer choices or even only one
choice in each field, so they can easily choose what they want without thinking. Now being surrounded by a number of options, individuals have to consider which advantage outweigh
others or which benefit is more significant before picking Suggestion
outweighs
one
that suits them best. For example
, nowadays, when purchasing a private vehicle, a citizen has to compare one
to a lot of other transportation such
as bikes, motorbikes or cars based on their price, decoration or customer service. Even when they decide to view cars as the final decision
, which kind of brand of the car would be the next
problem. As a result
, decision
makers are susceptible to confusion.
Additionally
, a wide range of choices also
deters individuals from concentrating on only target. As time and other resources of a human’s life are limited, they cannot experience everything. Some recent statistics conducted by Vietnam Institute
of Psychology and Social Suggestion
the Vietnam Institute
Behavior
(VIPS) indicated that youngsters are becoming accustomed to changing their job, and 79.6% of graduates are working in a field Suggestion
Behaviour
that is
not related to their major in the university. For example
, my father once confessed to me that he studied at Banking Academy, and after graduating from that university, he decided to apply for a technological
company. Suggestion
technology
However
, he is now working as an inspirational speaker. If he had focused on only one
field, he would have been more successful as a director of an international bank.
In conclusion, I would believe that having a variety of options would be a negative development in recent decades since it could cause hesitation when making ultimate decision
and reduce people’s concentration on only one
goal.Submitted by tien thanh on
