You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic: Some people prefer to work on school projects with a group, while others would rather work alone. Discuss both sides and give your opinion. Write at least 250 words.

Focus is the biggest mantra for success. Children in schools, generally prefer to to study in groups rather individually. Not only studies, but it has been observed that most people prefer to
work
on school projects with a
group
, while others would rather
work
alone. Which is definitely, a good approach, but at the same time has certain drawbacks as well. Sometimes people prefer to
work
alone, since they believe in personal growth. I would like to quote an example from my past, which will justify, working alone is way more suitable. I had participated in a
group
play, which was on base on one of the stupendous stories of William Shakespeare. I have always been good at narration, but still the
team
head gave the role of Brutus. The same thing was repeated with other members as well. Unfortunately, the play happened to a big disaster because of lack of communication and cooperation. What we perceive from
this
incident,
firstly
, you lose the freedom to choose in
such
situations and you follow others instructions, in order to maintain your position in the
team
.
Secondly
, sometimes due to dirty politics, you don't get the right kind of duties as per your skill set, which declines your performance at personal level.
Thirdly
, your dependency rate increases, since everyone have their own separate tasks, which need to accomplish correctly. Even one mistake makes the whole teams suffer. Working in groups makes things easier and smooth to execute.
For example
, when I was pursuing my MBA from a reputed college in India, at that time I was involved in several
group
projects.
Initially
I was very reluctant in working
such
teams, since neither I was familiar with other members, nor there was any understanding among us. Once I was through all my final presentations on these projects, I discovered certain changes in my behaviour.
Firstly
, working groups, enhance your knowledge, which is not possible if you alone. You get to know others opinion, which helps you in lateral thinking.
Secondly
, there is less chance to make mistakes because there are other people to correct you, in those situations.
Thirdly
,
such
assignments increase your patience level. You develop a habit of listening and understanding your
team
requirements. Fourthly,
group
projects reduce pressure, since maximum responsibilities is divided. While coordinating with
team
members, you tend to excel in leadership qualities.
Last
but not the least, I would say that eventually you learn to
work
in your more organised and systematic pattern.
