Personality is with what we are born with as per some people standpoints, and they believe it is inherently based on their genes as well as character trait cannot be changed. As per my perspective, I strongly disbelieve in the given opinion, because our identity is built up based on our upbringing and choices. To commence with

and foremost reason of not seeing eye to eye with viewpoint is that the our upbringing takes crucial role in what one become. In others words, parenting done by the parents does play an important part in the features of the individual. To exemplify, if mother and father enforce a lot of rules, domination and restriction in a child's life, it may result in a person becoming more shy, and having an introvert nature, as compared to those parents who give freedom to their children.
Thus
, the human personality has never been built in from the birth it grows with fostering done by parents.
Moreover
, choices do have an impact on human identity. To be more precise, from the birth, child's behaviour decides its path of future. To illustrate, the kid from childhood become self dependent, he does like doing his own work by himself and that build the traits of becoming independent and it

decision power, whereas certain children totally rely on their parents that makes them dependent on them for every decision they make in their life.
Hence
, the choices that are made from childhood determine its future behaviour and its identity. To conclude, the human characteristics and features are developed with time, and parents fostering and the choices made by them plays a crucial role in enhancing their personality. It is never built-in from birth, neither it is based on one's genes.
