Some people think that zoos are cruel and all the zoos should be closed. However, others think that zoos are useful to protect rare animals. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

Some people believe that zoos should be closed because animals are exploited there, while others say that they help in protecting the rare species and
thus
they are useful. In my opinion, zoos help in the animal conservation;

however, these
places should be inspected by the concerned authorities in order to keep check on cruelty. Those who are against the zoological parks argue that every living species has the right to live freely, but animals are kept behind the bars in these areas.
This
leads to compromising their freedom and letting them suffer for their whole lives.
For example
, a cub who took birth in a zoo would never know about living a life in a jungle with freedom.
Besides
this
, due to government’s negligence, most of these places might have funding issues, and
this
shortage of money would adversely affect the wildlife in these locations as there would be lesser employees to take care of them.
However
, I would argue that zoological gardens have practical importance.
First
of all, there has always been a danger of illegal hunting in forests due to which many rare species are at a risk of extinction.
Furthermore
, critically endangered fauna
such
as rhinos, tigers could
also
be captured by the locals, who sell them to traffickers for the sake of money.
Hence
, there is a requirement of these conservation areas where animals could not only be protected from hunters but
also
from illegal traffickers.
Secondly
, they are open to the public where visitors can come and see these vulnerable fauna, and they could charge money and meet their expenses. In conclusion,
although
some animals suffer from cruelty in a zoo,
this
problem could be solved by the regular inspection of higher officials to examine the living conditions.
Therefore
, I opine that they are still one of the best conservation areas where wildlife could be protected from illegal hunting and trafficking.
