Should governments make decisions about people’s lifestyle, or should people make their own decisions?

There are states in which people can make their own decisions
such
as some developed countries and states where
government
makes decisions about people's lifestyles and that's the example of some of the dictatorial states. Personally, I believe that everyone should be free to make their own choices because it's something
that is
a part of your own life. So
firstly
the individual should do what he wants to do, but respecting the rights and the decisions of the others. When the decisions of some restrict the freedom of others, in
this
case the
government
should take action, by limiting
for example
through laws.
However sometimes

However, sometimes
government
needs to make decisions about people's lifestyles that will surely limit some of the choices of an individual.
For example
, with the lockdown caused by the
coronavirus
that occurred
this
year,
government
Suggestion
the government
had to decide for the lifestyle of everyone, in order to ensure a common safety. As I said before, in many countries, people don't even know what the freedom of choice is, and I'm talking about China or Korea or other countries where a simple lifestyle decision cannot be made. To um up,
accordingly
to what I affirmed before, I think
this
deprivation of freedom of making decisions is the worst thing we can be deprived of.
