Exams are the best way of assessing a student’s level. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In many schools, colleges and
universities
students are assessed through different exams. To a certain extent, I agree that exams are helpful to assess students’ knowledge. Suggestion

However
, I also
believe that there are some other good ways to define the level of students.
On the one hand, I admit that the exam
has beneficial sides. It can promote competition among students. The exam
provides feedback about a student’s levellevel

as a result
, students know their weak and strong sides. For example
, weak students try to be more hardworking and be better than before. Students who have high marks, get motivated and become more enthusiastic in their studies.
On the other hand
, I believe that other methods can be as good as exams in the assessment process of students. First
of all, exams based on a student’s ability can be beneficial to define their level more accurately. Each student has diverse skills and exams can limit the students to demonstrate
their ability. Suggestion

For instance
, one student is good at painting, does not have any interest in other subjects and for that reason he gets low grades in subject exams. Secondly
, different games can be useful. Some students feel under pressure in exam
and have difficulties to express their knowledge. For example
, in role-play, student easily shows what he knows and entertains as well.
In conclusion, while I admit that the exam
has good sides, I do not believe that it is the best way for assessing a students’ level. Other methods have more beneficial sides.Submitted by Lalə Hacızadə on
