Today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult, such as the Sahara desert or the Antarctic? What are the benefits and disadvantages for tourists who visit such places?

There is no doubt that everyone loves the thrill of an adventure. Some people go so far in their quest for an adventure to visit places where the conditions are extreme difficult and unfavourable. In
this
essay, I will be discussing the benefits and drawbacks of visiting
such
places. On of the main advantages of visiting these areas is to broaden their horizon. To elaborate
further
, what I mean is
that that they go
Suggestion
that they go
to these places to get a different view of the world, and to understand how people in other places live.
For example
, a person from the
first
-world country who visits a
third
-world country gets to see how difficult other people live their lives, and how hard it is for others to gain access to basic amenities they have at their disposal.
As a result
, they tend to be appreciative of their living conditions back home, and the amenities provided to them by their government.
On the other hand
, visiting these places can put their lives at risk. What I mean by
this
is that because they are unaware of how the indigenous people in these areas live, they can end up in deadly situations.
For instance
, a tourist visiting a country with strong rights and beliefs may not be aware of their customs, their actions can result in them putting their lives in danger;
therefore
, visiting
such
places can be extremely life-threatening. To summarize, visiting places with difficult conditions can broaden one's view of the world;
however
, it can
also
endanger their lives.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
