A person’s worth nowadays seems to be judged according to social status and material possessions. Old-fashioned values, such as honor, kindness and trust, no longer seem important. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience

In
this
modern era, human beings are becoming very judgmental and judge people on the basis of wrong things that don’t even matter. People with wealth, power and material possessions are given more worth than the values like trust, kindness. I agree with the given notion and essay will demonstrate my viewpoint.
To begin
with, values like honesty, kindness matters allot in the real world.
Firstly
, capital and assets do not help much when one person lacks good characteristics and values, while money does not define

an
individual but values do. People who do not possess much still they are respected as well as are successful because they attain the values taught by their parents.
For instance
, Sandeep Maheshwari, motivational speaker, he is not rich as bill gates or a celebrity but still he is respected and loved by millions of people as he speak what he had learned in his life, he motivates and encourage others to become a successful human being by not leaving their values at back, but holding them throughout their lives . Others,
however
, myself included, tend to believe that, nowadays people judge others and respect only those who are rich and wealthy. Many people consider before becoming friends that how their friendship can be advantageous to them, keeping aside persons behaviour whether it is good or bad.
Similarly
, one always feels ashamed of becoming a friend with someone who does not have the same social status.
For example
, one person will think once before becoming friend with someone who is rich, but will think more than twice before connecting with someone with lower status. Everyone wants to become just like actors who are rich, having millions of followers just because these celebrities live a luxurious life. To conclude,
although
people are judged on the basis of power, social status in the society, yet I believe that old fashioned values cannot be eliminated from ones life,
therefore
elders should teach their young ones these values to become a good person
